THIS HAS TO BE OUR JOB OF THE WEEK – POSSIBLY THE SUMMER!! READ ON FOR MORE DETAILS…

I am a single mother living in Notting Hill and working full-time in the book publishing industry, where my career has spanned almost 25 years. I have two children – a son aged 9 who loves music and drama and a daughter aged 6 who loves animals, nature and reading.

Am ideally in search of a live-in student (ideally graduate or masters student specialising in the arts or humanities) who be available to work Monday -Thursday from 7-8 a.m. in the morning to help get the kids ready for school, and then afternoons from 4 pm- 7 pm to collect them from school, take them to and from activities/playdates, prepare their supper, supervise/help with homework and generally be an engaging, warm and stimulating presence for active and growing minds! Would include minimum of two nights babysitting per week – (flexible) and full-time help on half-term holidays .

All in, approximately 25 hours a week. Bearing in mind that there will be weeks at a time during the year when the house is empty as children will be with their father and I am travelling. Must have basic cooking skills and driving license a bonus, but not required.

Includes free accommodation (room and board) and I remain open to paying either hourly or weekly rate (negotiable). Also willing to make personal introductions to publishers, literary agencies, film companies to assist with future job placement, plus arrange freelance work reading and reporting on manuscripts should the opportunity be of interest.

Position to start in September.
